Welcome to a world of professional growth
The Global PA Association was founded in 2007 by Rosemary Parr, following a highly successful career with some of the UK's largest organisations and in the UK Parliament. As the former executive assistant to Sir Christopher Bland, chairman of BT plc, Rosemary recognised the need for greater professional development and recognition for office professionals. The association was launched at the BT Tower in April 2007 with the support of Sir Christopher Bland, building on the success of the BT PA Network established in 2003.
Over the last 19 years, we have become a global influence in the development of executive assistants, personal assistants, team assistants, secretaries, office managers, administrators, and virtual assistants. Today, we provide professional membership, recruitment support, networking events, and executive assistant and PA courses in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Norwich, and Aberdeen. Whether you want to develop new skills, expand your network, or progress your career, we are here to help.

I have just completed the Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant Programme, and what a fantastic course it is! It was thoroughly engaging and helped with self-reflection on development areas to support the next steps of your career. Rosemary was brilliant and helped gauge the understanding and knowledge of what we already know and can enhance within our current roles. I would highly recommend this course to all EAs.
I have just completed the Project Management Skills for Executive Assistants 4-module course with Rosemary (1 hour a week) and have to say it's been a great foundation in essential skills for the modern PA/EA. Rosemary's teaching style is driven by her years of experience and her flair for empowering those who love to learn. I have done other courses with her and always value her feedback and approach. Looking forward to other courses in future.
The Role of the Executive Assistant e-course is a well-developed programme. The four-week course was enjoyable and fascinating and led me on a road to self-discovery. I finished the course feeling more empowered and confident within my role as an EA. The materials and resources you are provided with are great, and I will continue to use them regularly. Rosemary is inspiring; her commitment to the training and learning programme is just wonderful. The 1:1 catch-up with Rosemary was great; her knowledge is invaluable. I would highly recommend any learning opportunity led by Rosemary and the Global PA Association.

Meet our team

Rosemary Parr – Founder and Chair
Rosemary Parr founded the Global PA Association & Training Academy in 2007, launching the organisation at the BT Tower with the support of Sir Christopher Bland, former Chairman of BT plc. Over the past 17 years, she has helped establish the association as a recognised provider of training and professional development for executive assistants, personal assistants, secretaries, office managers, administrators, and virtual assistants worldwide.
After working as Sir Christopher Bland's Executive Assistant, Rosemary realised the profession needed more support and development. She founded the BT PA Network, which hosted celebrity-led networking events for company assistants. Since then, Rosemary has trained professionals in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. Entrepreneurship, professional development, and women in the workplace are her regular topics on BBC World Service, The Times, and The Sunday Times.

Ms Amanda Towns – Membership Secretary
Amanda Towns joined the organisation on 1 October 2017 as Membership Secretary and Training Coordinator. She supports members with enquiries, coordinates training opportunities, and helps ensure a positive experience for those looking to develop their skills and careers. Amanda's dedication to member support and professional development makes her a valued part of the team.
